With a background in religious studies, an MFA in design strategies, and an intense love of pop culture, what links my (seemingly) disparate interests is a fascination with how the stories we tell influence our beliefs and behaviors.
I use my expertise in user-centered design to help media makers and nonprofits create engaging experiences, products, and services that make the world a better place. Whether it is an international advocacy campaign or an insurance commercial, I believe that thoughtful design can generate solutions that are engaging, socially responsible, and most importantly effective.
My work has given me the opportunity to collaborate with award-winning journalists, photographers and filmmakers and travel around the world to research and design projects in India, Fiji, Colombia, Guatemala and Kenya. Also, I was once interviewed by MTV News over text message for a design competition I won as part of their campaign on implicit bias. I only had one typo.
