Employment

LEAD DESIGN RESEARCHER, Openbox
Openbox is a design & innovation studio that makes products and services better for the people who use them, and helps companies scale from a human-centered perspective. I am leading the design research to understand user, stakeholder, and client needs. This includes planning and conducting interviews, observation sessions, remote studies, concept feedback, participatory design, cultural probes, and developing new research methods & techniques for collecting qualitative data.

PART-TIME FACULTY, Parsons School of Design
I am a part-time faculty member at Parsons School of Design in the Strategic Design and Management BBA Program. I am teaching Senior Projects 1, a 15 week capstone studio where student teams learn to research, plan, design, and prototype their own creative intervention—ranging from new products and entrepreneurial ventures to advocacy campaigns and speculative experiences.

LEAD UX DESIGNER, THAT
THAT is a small creative agency committed to pursuing innovative applications of new technologies in storytelling experiences. I am working in close collaboration with a writer, producer, and art director to create original content for an emerging interactive storytelling platform—blending the lines between film and games. As the UX Designer on the team, I am working from initial story pitch through production and development of the final interactive to ensure that the experience is intuitive, engaging, and most importantly entertaining for our viewers.

DESIGN STRATEGIST, MSK Cancer Center
I am working as part of the Design and Innovation Group at MSK which involves collaboration with different stakeholders throughout the hospital including clinicians, patients and caregivers, to breakdown complex problems, find opportunities for interventions, design new solutions, and ultimately improve the patient experience at MSK.

LEAD UX RESEARCHER, Academy
I led the planning and execution of Academy's user research with a small team of researchers and designers for a nonprofit client’s web re-design. This included stakeholder interviews, usability prototyping, and developing action driven recommendations to deliver to our clients and design team.

HUMAN-CENTERED DESIGN CONSULTANT, GAIN
I consulted with GAIN to integrate human-centered design into a new program delivering nutritional supplements to mothers and newborns in Guatemala, Colombia, and Mexico. For this engagement, I designed and facilitated three design-thinking workshops with public health experts, nutritionists, community leaders and mothers.
